SWEET 2018

April 28th, 2018
University of San Diego

The San Diego Professional Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-San Diego) is hosting an exciting opportunity for middle and high school girls (grades 6-12) to learn about science and technology careers. The annual program, Society of Women Engineers Exploring Technology (SWEET), features five exciting science-based activities where the girls will learn to think like an engineer in a hands-on environment. Girls will interact with local collegiate and professional engineers on a panel, while learning about how engineering impacts the world around them. Girls will also learn about other STEM outreach opportunities, including SWE Next, which is a way to become part of the Society of Women Engineers as a student through the ages of 13-18.

This year's theme is 'Flex Your Imagination' and explores the many remarkable contributions of women inventors and how the ingenuity of engineers can solve problems and shape the world around us!

We need over 75 day-of volunteers to make this signature STEM outreach program a success! Please consider signing up for one or more shifts below. Thank you in advance for making a difference as a role model and helping to inspire girls in engineering and technology!

There are no shifts available at this time.
